All About Salma Azzam

DIRECTOR, WRITER, PRODUCER.

Salma Azzam was born in Washington D.C. Since childhood, Salma loved watching movies and grew to love the craft that she decided to continue her study in film making to become a movie director. At the age of 18 she graduated a One Year Film Making course at New York Film Academy, Abu Dhabi - UAE. Her short Thesis Film "Life’s Notes” Written, Directed and Edited by her, earned her a place in the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival 69th year. Salma was only 18 years old when she hit her first Cannes Film Festival red carpet year 2016. A year after Salma directed "How We Lost What We found" a short film that earned her yet another spot in Cannes Film Festival 70th year in 2017 through the short film corner. In 2018, she graduated a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts in Film Making from SAE Dubai, 2016 -2018 as well as completing an International Film & Wellness in Education Course at Academy Plus, Cardiff, Wales, UK, 2018.
In parallel, Salma is also on her third year in Damascus University studying for a Bachelor degree in English Literature.
